A mammatus laden supercell aglow from the setting sun makes a spectacular backdrop to a speeding vehicle on Interstate 76 near Keenesburg, Colorado on the evening of 7-29-2018. This storm cell had just dropped hail as large as 3 inches in diameter which created an eerie low level fog which served to enhance this spectacular scene. The plains of Colorado is home to some of the most spectacular scenes on the planet.

I am a photographer originally from Ohio who relocated to Colorado in 2014 in an effort to capture the beauty of the mountainous landscape and the majesty of its incredible wildlife. In the Spring and early Summer I can be found out on the plains of eastern Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and Wyoming in pursuit of severe storm structure and, of course, tornadoes.
