Back on 7-8-2019 I was chasing an extremely fast moving severe storm near Cheyenne Wells, Colorado and I was trying to get far enough ahead of the storm because every time I stopped to take a picture I was immediately getting run over by the storm and hit with a wall of wind and suffocating dirt and debris that was being kicked up by the storm. Anyway, to make a long story short, during my chase to keep ahead of the storm I had seen this crazy old structure standing alone in a field and quickly pulled over to capture this image. I'm not completely sure what this crib-like structure is or what it may have been used for but I guess that just adds to the mystique and strangeness of the image as a whole.
I am a photographer originally from Ohio who relocated to Colorado in 2014 in an effort to capture the beauty of the mountainous landscape and the majesty of its incredible wildlife. In the Spring and early Summer I can be found out on the plains of eastern Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and Wyoming in pursuit of severe storm structure and, of course, tornadoes. Hopefully you will enjoy my images half as much as I enjoyed capturing them for you. Thank you for stopping by to check out my images! P.S. - All of the wildlife images you see in my gallery were shot in the wild in it's natural habitat. Sincerely, Brian Gustafson. (720) 512-7545
