A winter storm is moving in, snow shrouds the horizon. The waning light of the setting sun lengthens the shadow of a lone tree in a golden field. The howling winds blow leaves and loose grass in swirls about your feet, and in an instant you experience The Chill. This image was taken at Colorado's Rocky Mountain Arsenal on the evening of 1-21-2019.

I am a photographer originally from Ohio who relocated to Colorado in 2014 in an effort to capture the beauty of the mountainous landscape and the majesty of its incredible wildlife. In the Spring and early Summer I can be found out on the plains of eastern Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and Wyoming in pursuit of severe storm structure and, of course, tornadoes.
