Description
A tornado hogs the middle of the road on CR 13 east of highway 59 just north of the small town of Joes, Colorado on the afternoon of 8-13-2019. This tornado had touched down to the left of the road and proceeded to move to the right crossing the road where I was able to capture this image. This tornado would move off into the field to the right where, after a few minutes, it would recede back into the clouds only to touch down again a few minutes later. This is what is known as a low-precipitation (LP) tornado, meaning it isn't shrouded in rain making it highly visible. I was very lucky to witness and photograph this tornado in such clarity and environment.
