Description
When chasing severe weather there are great days and some not so great days. This was a spectacular day! After driving over 100 miles to reach my target area, I had just arrived a few minutes prior and got into position when this tornado touched down right in front of me. The tornado initially touched down just to the left of the road then traveled to the right and crossed the road where I was able to capture this image. The tornado continued to spin away in the field for a few minutes before receding back into the clouds. This image was taken on CR 13 just east of highway 59 and north of the small town of Joes, Colorado on the afternoon of 8-13-2019. As you can see, it was an amazing sight to witness.

I never had to chase them because I lived in Kansas and they found me! Great shot here Brian. Very nice lighting. Now following you

You definitely wouldn't have to go too far to see a tornado in Kansas, that is for sure! Thanks, Richard!
